Performance ‘Race of the Word’ is a result of ‘Directional Forces’ summer residency in the Psarades in Greece. Prespes lake region is very much associated with Second World War and Civil War. Big influence on the project has had my interaction with wooden constructions that were built by the Revolutionary Army soldiers to establish extraordinary hospital for rebels at the Kokkalis’s cave. It wasn’t difficult to reflect this history with contemporary borders situation as the village Psarades is situated right next to Macedonian and Albanian borders. Chess figure made with bread without color distinction still clash on the never ending race of this world.
